The optimum initial transition perhaps can be a combination of need basis for essentials goods and services at zero cost and a barter system or money for premium goods and services. This is referred to as a quasi-cooperative model.

It should be emphasized that the first priority with respect to money should be to ensure that no payment or form of compensation should be required when distributing survival needs such as basic food, water and shelter. The quasi-cooperative model could offer the choice between the equal-need based cooperative distributions or an off-cooperative lifestyle where only land is provided for self-development by the citizen. Under this off-cooperative, self-development model, the citizen would be responsible only to self for the acquisition of all desired housing structures, food, water and other daily needs while living in the off-cooperative zone. Citizens within the off-cooperative will decide for themselves how to manage local resources, separate from the global equal-need system.

Likewise, mutual exchanges will allow citizens to  change lifestyles between the equal-need and off-cooperative based systems at any time. Furthermore, mutual exchanges would occur between citizens who simply wish to trade living systems or geographic locations locally or worldwide. The difference between this cooperative system and our current global system is competition. Current society encourages competition for geographic locations and lifestyles while the cooperative model accomplishes the same without excessive competition. The cooperative model removes the end consequences of significant losses in finances, capacity and support for family and self. Every global citizen has a choice at every phase of life.

In the end, the long-term goal is a responsible voluntary consumption model at community levels. Due to current psyche and excess expectation conditions, initial voluntary consumption will be deemed infeasible in many regions. Until global citizens are secure with the system, then the strategy would be to implement systems to ensure that each individual or entity can receive their equal share or value of goods and services upon request. Modern technology could be used to ensure this objective in a reliable and safe manner. If approved and deemed appropriate by citizens, biometric and biological implant technologies can provide unique security identification to national or global databases for updating global usage and available supplies.

This capability implies that global travel needs can be managed without carrying money or forms of exchange. This is how we successfully move towards voluntary consumption societies and encourage generous thinking, activities and values internationally.

People As Valued Assets:

Although initially there will be some communities and nations that require a significant net import of goods and services, they will soon become self-sufficient enough to become net exporters with support from their inflow of basic needs and advancement from their educational and training opportunities and shared technologies at zero cost. When money and every other obstacle are removed from every individual concern worldwide, local and global collaborations will sprout to address every condition within every industry. Our time is now, as the lack of technology prevented sustainable global distribution, communication and management in the past. Now individuals have the internet, text messaging and other stable communications infrastructures to notify local and global entities regarding immediate obstacles or proposed solutions and strategies.

Even if the world coordinated a mammoth goal to feed all people of the earth today by donations of grains and non-perishable foods, it would be a gallant effort to assemble enough people to do the job. Although there are several organizations trained for this type of work, there would be insufficient personnel available. If no one in the modern civilized world was required to work for basic necessities, then there would be more people with more time to volunteer for these worthy causes.

Speculate regarding the many decisions we as individuals and as a race would have made differently or with much ease had it been unnecessary to acquire money for food, water, shelter, and other financial obligations.
